Information You Provide
You can use most ChronoNest calculators without creating an account. If you create an account, Supabase Auth may store your email address, provider identity, account timestamps, and profile details you choose to provide. If you save a calculation, we store the calculator type, selected currency, input values, and output values so you can view them later in your dashboard. If you contact us, we store your name, email address, subject, message, user agent, and submission time so our editorial team can respond and investigate reported issues. Financial calculator inputs you enter are processed in your browser and are not stored unless you explicitly save them to your account.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit ChronoNest, we may automatically collect technical information such as browser type and version, device type, operating system, approximate geographic region (at city or country level), pages viewed, referral source, cookie consent state, and performance events (Core Web Vitals). This information helps us identify broken pages, improve calculator usability, measure site performance, and understand which finance topics need clearer explanations. Some of this data is collected by Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Microsoft Clarity. We do not use this information to make lending, employment, insurance, or eligibility decisions.

You can control which categories of cookies you allow through our cookie consent banner. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. Analytics and Advertising cookies are optional. Your preferences are stored for 6 months, after which the banner reappears. You can also withdraw consent at any time on our Cookie Policy page. Blocking cookies in your browser settings may affect some features.
Google Consent Mode
ChronoNest uses Google Consent Mode v2 to communicate your cookie consent choices to Google services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) before any tags fire. When you interact with our cookie banner, your preferences are forwarded to Google using the gtag.js consent API. This ensures that Google's tags respect your choices:
- Denied — Google tags adjust their behavior and do not use cookies for the denied purposes. Ads data redaction and URL passthrough are enabled to protect your data.
- Granted — Google tags operate normally within the scope of your consent for measurement and advertising.
Consent signals are stored in your browser and sent to Google's servers alongside standard analytics and advertising requests. No personal data is transmitted for consent verification purposes.
How We Use Data
We use personal data to provide requested features, respond to support messages, maintain account security, investigate bugs, improve calculator accuracy, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Saved calculation data is used only to show your saved results back to you and to maintain the reliability of the dashboard feature. Contact messages are used for support, correction requests, partnership inquiries, and abuse prevention. We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.
Advertising
ChronoNest uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on the site. AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC (“Google”).
Google AdSense uses cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you and your interests. These technologies help Google measure the effectiveness of ads, prevent the same ad from appearing too often, and ensure advertisers get value from their campaigns.

When your consent is denied for advertising cookies, Google will serve only non-personalized ads that are contextual — based on the content of the page rather than your browsing history or interests.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Financial calculator inputs you enter are processed locally in your browser and are never shared with advertising partners. ChronoNest does not use your saved calculations or account data to influence what ads you see.
Supabase and Service Providers
ChronoNest uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, and related backend functionality. We may also use hosting (Vercel), analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity), advertising (Google AdSense), monitoring (Sentry), and email vendors that process limited data on our behalf. These providers are contractually required to protect data and use it only for the services they provide to ChronoNest. We do not authorize service providers to sell personal data or use it for their own purposes.
Data Retention
Account data remains stored while your account is active. Saved calculations remain stored until you delete them or request account deletion. Contact messages may be retained for support history, fraud prevention, and quality review. Analytics data may be retained in aggregated or pseudonymous form for up to 26 months. Advertising cookies are retained according to the durations listed in the cookie table above. We may keep limited records where needed for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or to prevent repeated abuse.
Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including: the right to access your personal data, right to rectification, right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), right to restrict processing, right to data portability, right to object to processing (including direct marketing and profiling for advertising), and rights related to automated decision-making. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@chrononest.site with sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days).
CCPA — California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grants you the following rights:
- Right to Know — You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which it was collected, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared.
- Right to Delete — You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., security, legal compliance, fraud prevention).
- Right to Correct — You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing — ChronoNest does not sell your personal information in exchange for monetary compensation. However, the sharing of data with advertising partners (such as Google AdSense and Microsoft Advertising) for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under CCPA. You have the right to opt out of such sharing at any time by selecting “Reject Non-Essential” or “Manage Preferences” in our cookie consent banner and disabling Advertising Cookies. You may also submit an opt-out request via email.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service based on your privacy choices.
Categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (email address, IP address), internet/electronic activity (browsing history, interaction with calculators), geolocation data (approximate region), and inferences drawn from the above for analytics and advertising purposes.
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at support@chrononest.site with the subject line “CCPA Request” and sufficient information for us to verify your identity. We will acknowledge receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days with notice).
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including Supabase row-level security, HTTPS encryption in transit, authentication controls, and limited access to backend data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into free-form fields and keep your account credentials secure. We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed.
International Users
ChronoNest serves users globally. Data may be processed in countries other than your own depending on our hosting and service providers (including the United States and the European Union). By using the site, you understand that privacy laws and protections may differ from your jurisdiction. When we transfer data from the EEA to countries not deemed adequate by the European Commission, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
